Just as the Moon Landing was made possible by satellites, they also led to an orbiting lab known as Skylab. After the moon landing, the world was greatly impacted, and communication technologies were developed at a surprising rate. It also showed the world that it was ready for more advanced technology. In Kathiann M. Kowalski’s article “The Space Race begins” She states that,

“NASA’s last manned Moon landing was in 1972. After that, the agency focused on its Skylab (a reusable space station laboratory) and Space Shuttle (a reusable spacecraft) programs. Those programs advanced scientific knowledge by orbiting Earth and deploying satellites.”

This shows that Skylab was able to conduct scientific research and deploy satellites that could be used for communication.
